 A veterinarian by trade, Jim has been interested in photography since 8 years of age when he received his first Kodak instamatic camera. His high school years gave him numerous opportunities to use his photographic abilities, winning him many awards at the state, local and national levels. |
Although Jim has done some portrait work for friends and family, his main focus is directed to the beautiful outdoors and the many colorful subjects that are so pleasing to us all. |
Jim is very fond of the Rocky Mountains, as is reflected in many of his photographs. He prefers the challenge of outdoor wildlife, but is always ready with his camera when the sun begins to set, or the mist falls over the horizon in the distance. |
Wildflowers, insects and the like, are another favorite venue for his work. The outstanding array of colors, shapes and composition that Mother Nature affords this photographer, is what make up some of his most interesting subject matter. |
